Traveling to Montpellier

Montpellier’s international airport is served by 5 regular or low-cost companies (Air France, Ryanair, Easyjet, Iberia, Air Arabia). Other international airport in cities like Barcelona, Gerona, Marseille…. are connected by train to Montpellier.

Montpellier’s airport is located 10 km away from the city’s historical center (15 minutes by car), and mid-way between city and sea. Taxis, rented cars and a shuttle (11 daily services) are easily accessible upon arrival. Count approximately 20 € by taxi (depending on the time of arrival) and 1.5 € by shuttle.

With 15 daily services from Paris aboard France’s famous direct fast train services (TGV), the centre of Montpellier is only a 3.30-hour train ride away. Four daily services ensure direct connection between Montpellier and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle international airport (near Paris).


Montpellier is situated by one of the main road arteries in the south of France. It is a short drive from key cities such as Barcelona (3hrs) and Geneva (5hrs).
